At Eloquent Dance Academy, we are proud to have a faculty of exceptionally talented teachers who bring passion, knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to every class they teach.
Our teaching team is fully qualified within their specialist dance genres and holds professional teaching qualifications with the world’s most respected dance organisations, including the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).
As a school, we proudly offer syllabus-based training with the opportunity for students to take optional examinations and gain internationally recognised qualifications. What makes our faculty truly special is that they are not only highly trained dancers and performers, but also accredited teaching professionals dedicated to delivering the highest standards of dance education.
All members of our teaching team hold enhanced DBS checks and First Aid certification, ensuring a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment where every student can thrive.
Founder, Principal & Teacher
Vicki is the Founder and Principal of Eloquent Dance Academy and has dedicated her career to inspiring and developing young performers through high-quality dance training.
She trained professionally at Pattison College, Coventry and Bojangles Theatre Arts, Lichfield, before gaining her teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Vicki holds Associate Teaching qualifications in Modern Theatre, Tap and National Dance.
Alongside her extensive teaching career, Vicki has enjoyed a successful professional career as a performer, choreographer, assistant director and creative on productions throughout the UK. She is also an Examiner for Pearson BTEC Performing Arts and a qualified Teacher of AQA GCSE Dance.
In addition to leading Eloquent Dance Academy, Vicki is the owner of the Centre of Performing Arts Hinckley (COPAH Studios) and Director of Dance Xtra Events, providing performance and competition opportunities for dancers across the UK.
With over two decades of teaching experience, Vicki is passionate about creating a supportive environment where every student can develop confidence, technical excellence and a lifelong love of dance.
Teacher
Leah has been a valued member of the Eloquent Dance Academy faculty since 2010 and is a much-loved teacher within the school.
She trained professionally at Midlands Academy of Dance & Drama (MADD College) Nottingham, and holds her Associate Teaching Qualification with the IDTA in Ballet. Leah is an experienced and versatile dance teacher with knowledge across a wide range of dance genres and age groups.
Leah plays a key role in the development of our younger dancers and is responsible for choreographing our Baby and Junior Competition Teams, creating engaging routines that help students build confidence, performance skills and a love of being on stage.
Known for her nurturing approach and enthusiasm in the classroom, Leah is passionate about helping every child reach their full potential while ensuring lessons remain enjoyable, inspiring and rewarding.
Teacher
Vicky has been a valued member of the Eloquent Dance Academy teaching faculty since 2010 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our ballet department.
She trained professionally at the Northern Ballet School and holds Licentiate Teaching Qualifications with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA).
Alongside her teaching commitments, Vicky is a highly respected RAD Examiner, travelling throughout the UK and internationally to examine ballet students around the world. Her extensive experience within dance education and examining gives students invaluable insight into technical excellence and performance standards.
Vicky is passionate about developing strong classical technique while nurturing confidence, artistry and a lifelong appreciation of ballet in every student she teaches.
Teacher
Laura has been a dedicated member of the Eloquent Dance Academy teaching faculty since 2008, having started her own dance journey as a student at the academy before progressing into a teaching role.
She trained at Eloquent Dance Academy and later continued her professional training at Bodywork Company Dance Studios, Cambridge. Laura holds a Dance Diploma in Education (DDE) in both Modern Theatre and Tap Dance, providing her with extensive knowledge and teaching expertise in these disciplines.
Laura teaches a variety of dance genres across the school and is particularly known for her passion and specialism in Tap Dance. Her energetic teaching style, strong technical knowledge and commitment to her students help dancers of all ages develop confidence, musicality and performance skills.
Having grown up within the Eloquent family herself, Laura is passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers and sharing her love of dance with every student she teaches.
Teacher
Zayleigh joined the Eloquent Dance Academy teaching faculty in 2024 and leads the school’s Commercial Dance classes, bringing energy, creativity and current industry styles to her lessons.
Having begun her dance training at Eloquent Dance Academy, Zayleigh went on to further her professional training at Shockout Arts, Manchester, where she graduated with a Level 3 Qualification in Commercial Dance.
As the daughter of Principal Vicki Stevenson, Zayleigh has grown up within the Eloquent family and has developed a strong passion for dance and performance from an early age. Her specialist knowledge of commercial dance enables her to deliver exciting, up-to-date classes inspired by current trends and the professional dance industry.
Teacher
Kayleigh has been a valued member of the Eloquent Dance Academy teaching team since 2017 and is a much-loved teacher amongst our youngest dancers.
She trained professionally at Bodywork Company Dance Studios, Cambridge. Alongside her work at Eloquent, Kayleigh has also worked for a leading Baby Ballet franchise, specialising in introducing young children to dance through imaginative, engaging and age-appropriate classes.
In addition to her dance teaching career, Kayleigh works full-time as a Teaching Assistant within Primary Education, giving her a wealth of experience in supporting children’s learning and development both inside and outside the dance studio.
With her warm, patient and enthusiastic nature, Kayleigh creates a positive first experience of dance that inspires children to grow in confidence and enjoy every step of their journey.
